Facilities

The headquarters and primary offices of Measurement Incorporated are located at 423 Morris Street in downtown Durham, North Carolina. At this location, MI owns two adjacent, renovated, historic buildings which comprise about 149,000 square feet. These house our research and test development, data analysis, information technology, and printing and publishing operations, main scoring center, and space for receiving and distribution. In addition, we lease a 20,635 square foot storage warehouse two blocks away and an additional 12,000 square foot scoring center in Office Area 6 of Northgate Mall at 1058 West Club Boulevard in Durham. MI also leases offices and scoring space in the following cities:

MI Headquarters, Durham NC

From time to time, MI leases additional scoring space near our main offices, and sometimes we operate temporary scoring centers in the client's home state.

Our scoring sites are all located in growing communities with major universities and technological/industrial bases. These areas attract a professional, creative, well-educated work force. With annual evaluation of more than four million tests, MI must maintain a pool of hundreds of college-degreed reader/evaluators at each of our scoring centers.

Scoring Center Features
Our facilities are specially designed to complement assessment scoring activities. All of our scoring centers have the following features in common:

Waste Management
Because the nature of our business requires us to use large quantities of paper products, we think that it is particularly important to exercise ecologically responsible and environmentally sound policies within our facilities. Whenever possible, we use recycled paper to produce our printed and copied materials. We also regularly pay to have our recyclable paper and cardboard products removed for reprocessing and reuse. Measurement Incorporated actively and enthusiastically participates in other forms of solid waste management as well. Our offices save and donate glass, plastic, aluminum, and steel drink containers to recycling programs.

Security
A primary concern during any assessment scoring effort is the security of assessment materials and the confidentiality of examinee identity. Measurement Incorporated appreciates and shares these concerns and routinely implements a number of measures to help safeguard student responses while they are in our possession.

Additional security measures are incorporated into project specifications as necessary to accommodate client needs.

Measurement Incorporated acknowledges that the arrangement, planning, and maintenance of our facilities ultimately affect our ability to perform our services in the professional and efficient manner our clients have come to expect. The policies we observe and procedures we undertake further ensure our reputation as leaders in the field.
